Our Vision & Mission

Our vision and mission are to empower individuals on the autism spectrum to express their creativity, showcase their art, and share their stories. Through inclusive programs and exhibitions, we celebrate neurodiversity, break down barriers, and inspire greater appreciation for autistic art in society.

Our Impact

Art is often used as a medium to help those struggling with any mental or health setbacks. The time spent in these sessions provides a healthy release and safe environment for them to develop life skills. This is a popular technique known as art therapy.

Art Therapy and Autism

Art therapy addresses some of the core symptoms of autism, allowing the person to develop their psychomotor skills and communication and help promote sensory regulation. Kids can get sensory stimulation from the different materials involved. Often, emotions can be more easily communicated through art rather than speech. Studies have shown that, over time, people participating in art therapy have seen improved cognitive, motor, and social skills.

Benefits

1. Art therapy allows the participants to be more outgoing, as they get more practice interacting with peers.

2. People feel a sense of self satisfaction when completing a work, boosting their self esteem.

3. Art therapy gives them a creative outlet, allowing them to express their feelings in a way words cannot.

4. It opens up future career paths and broadens their choice of jobs that can be pursued.
